A beautifully toned stater from Sybaris

LUCANIA. Sybaris. Circa 550-510 BC. Stater (Silver, 30 mm, 7.88 g, 12 h). VM Bull standing to left on dotted ground line, head turned back to right; all within border of dots. Rev. Bull standing to right on dotted ground line, head turned back to left; all within border of dots; all incuse. Gorini 2. HN Italy 1729. SNG ANS 828-44. S&S Class B, pl. XLVIII, 4-8. Sharply struck and with wonderful iridescent toning. Minor old scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
